Join us for a rejuvenating two-day yoga retreat hosted by Donna Rama Yoga and Clair Edwards Yoga

Step away from the busyness of life and make time for yourself to pause and catch your breath. A weekend retreat of restorative yoga, meditation, creativity, sound and breath work to help you learn tools to slow down and de-stress. All activities are optional but are carefully planned to offer you ways to experience deep rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. Set in the inspiring location of Florence House right on the edge of the Sussex coast. There will be time to enjoy your natural surroundings and we promise you will be truly looked after and nourished. Book today, share with a friend or come for some solitary time.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Daily Gentle and Restorative Yoga:  Allowing your body to surrender into deep relaxation, release tension, and experience profound healing.

  • Meditation and Mindfulness: Discover the transformative power of mindfulness and meditation to cultivate inner calm and clarity

  • Evening Satsanga in the yurt: Chanting, Breathwork, Meditation.

  • Delicious homemade vegetarian food - all meals, hot drinks, juices and snacks are provided.

  • Optional Guided Creative Activity.

  • Circle time - Opportunity to come together with like-minded people to share your experiences, in a supportive and nurturing community.

  • Free time - There will be plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Florence House - Nature walks, sea swimming, quiet time to journal and reflect.

  • Comfortable accommodation - Choice of single or shared rooms with ensuite or shared bathrooms.

  • Massage Treatment - Optional and for an additional fee. We have arranged for an on site therapist for massage. To be booked in advance.

  • This retreat is open to all levels, from beginners to experienced yogis, as our focus is on self-care and relaxation. Whether you seek to deepen your practice, release stress, or simply take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this weekend is designed to meet your needs.

THE VENUE:

Florence House sits at the top of Seaford head on the edge of the South Downs. A true haven.

The house is surrounded by lush landscapes and sea breezes. A much loved venue, with a feeling of ‘home’ - a place of inspiration, a calm oasis imbued with magical healing energy. There are dedicated spaces for solitude and chats so you can feel totally at ease in choosing exactly what you need.

Accessible by public transport.

Nearest train station is Seaford then a short taxi ride.

TEACHERS:

Clair Edwards brings a beautiful calm energy after working with women and babies for 10 years and holding popular monthly restorative workshops for all.

Donna Raftery shares her love of wisdom and holistic well being with Vajrasati yoga and Reiki Healing. 

Together they share a love and respect for the necessity of rest ( and slowing down) no matter what age or life circumstances - ill health, full health, recovery or growing pains! They share a belief that the importance of rest is fundamental to good health and overall well being. A holistic approach rooted in ancient wisdom, perfect antidote for modern life.

Combining decades of personal experience and deep love of sharing yoga as a lifestyle choice and practice, they look forward to welcoming you.

  • 60 days or more prior to the retreat date: Your payments will be refunded, less £150 which is your non-refundable deposit.

  • 59-30 days prior to the retreat date: payments are not refundable, but are transferable (less the £150 non-refundable deposit) to a future Donna Rama or Clair Edwards retreat or events

  • 29 days or less prior to the retreat date: payments are not refundable.

Sunday 3rd March, 14.00-17.00 - Brighton

Pregnancy Mini Retreat - Prepare and Relax

Join us at the next Pregnancy Mini retreat to help prepare for birth and relax deeply. Suitable from 15 weeks onwards.

  • We will start with our usual chat and introductions and give each other time to be heard and air any worries and thoughts about pregnancy, birth or beyond.

  • A gentle yoga practise to warm our body and ease out any niggles and tension. We will allow a little extra time for birth breathing techniques and birth positions.

  • A full restorative yoga session. Using props such as blankets, pillows and bolsters. We will spend time in a few key poses that feel great when pregnant (these are all poses either sitting or laying and are close to the ground) accompanied by short visualisations or yoga nidra. 

  • Finish with homemade cake, tea and another opportunity to chat and connect with others in the class.

I have created this workshop just for you as a perfect bit of self care for you and your baby.


I am a big believer in slowing down and resting for good physical and mental health and have been teaching restorative yoga for 4 years and pregnancy yoga for 9 years. When we relax fully not only does it feel good physically but we also support the immune system and our nervous system. In turn this sends messages to the body that all is well which can really help promote a positive mind set for pregnancy and birth.

Pregnancy is a joy but it has it's ups and downs and can be an emotional rollercoaster so come along to be supported and nourished with other mamas in the beautiful and cosy Energy for life studio in Brighton.
