A slow flowing class to help you enjoy your pregnancy and feel more comfortable. Using breath, movement and deep relaxation to help you feel calm, empowered and prepared for birth and beyond. These classes are a great preparation for a positive birth experience and support in this time of transition into motherhood. A wonderful chance to connect to your growing baby and other families in your community. Each class is tailored to your needs and modifications can always be offered. Suitable from 15 weeks or earlier if you have a regular yoga practice.

Pregnancy Mini Retreat - Sunday 22nd February 14.00-17.00

What to expect:

We will start with our usual chat and introductions and give each other time to be heard and air any worries and thoughts about pregnancy, birth or beyond.

A gentle yoga practise to warm our body and ease out any niggles and tension. We will allow a little extra time for birth breathing techniques and birth positions.

A full restorative yoga session. Using props such as blankets, pillows and bolsters we will spend time in a few key poses that feel great when pregnant (these are all poses either sitting or laying and are close to the ground) accompanied by short visualisations or yoga nidra. 

Finish with homemade cake, tea and another opportunity to chat and connect with others in the class.

I have created this workshop just for you as a perfect bit of self care for you and your baby.
I am a big believer in slowing down and resting for good physical and mental health and have been teaching restorative yoga for 6 years. When we relax fully not only does it feel good physically but we also support the immune system and our nervous system. In turn this sends messages to the body that all is well which can really help promote a positive mind set for pregnancy and birth.

Pregnancy is a joy but it has it's ups and downs and can be an emotional rollercoaster so come along to be supported and nourished with other mamas in the beautiful and cosy studio at The Loft above Little Dippers, Brighton

5 week courses during term times

These 5 week yoga and movement courses are specially designed to support you mentally and physically through those early weeks and months after birth all the way up until your baby is on the move. A way to reconnect to your body and help with a smooth transition into motherhood. Slow flowing sequences that focus on gently rebuilding your strength, core and pelvic floor and breathing and relaxation techniques to calm your mind and nervous system. Baby can be by your side, join in or you can come alone. Meet other families and build your support network

Suitable from 6 weeks post vaginal birth and 8 weeks post c-section.

Each week will include:

  • Time to chat and be heard

  • Slow flowing sequences to rebuild strength and release held tension

  • Pelvic floor and posture awareness

  • Play and movement for the babies

  • Restorative pose and yoga nidra

    Please be assured these are really friendly and informal classes and it is my job to put you at ease. You will be free to feed, comfort and change your baby whenever you need to. Although I have planned the course I will always be flexible and try to tailor the class to your needs on the day. You are also welcome to come without your baby if you have childcare.

Bespoke one to one restorative, pregnancy or postnatal yoga. After an initial chat I will create a class based totally on your needs. All equipment is provided for in person sessions. For online sessions a list of everyday props such as pillows and blankets will be sent to you in advance.

Enjoy a class from the comfort of your home with no need to travel and time at the end of the session for you to rest a little longer. Please contact me to discuss your needs whether it be for pregnancy, postnatal parent and baby or restorative yoga.
